From August 2017 Meadowside Primary School is pleased to operate its own Wraparound Care Facility know as MASC. Sarah Hammond, our experienced Pastoral Support Manager has been appointed as the MASC manager. All staff have relevant safeguarding training and DBS checks and between them the required first aid, health and safety and food hygiene qualifications. The team includes staff who are Qualified Playworkers.
If your child is in receipt of the pupil premium bursary, this can be used towards the cost of MASC sessions. Should you wish to use this, please contact a member of the school admin team who will be happy to assist you.
MASC Breakfast Club runs from 7.45 - 8.45am in term time and costs £4 per session.
Children have access to a range of activities including games, puzzles and crafts and there will be a healthy breakfast available.
MASC After School Club runs from 3.15- 5.50pm in term time and costs £9.90 per session.
Children have access to a range of activities both inside and outside including arts, craft and sport. Light snacks are provided. Please send a packed lunch if required and a refillable drink bottle.
MASC Holiday Club runs from 8.00am - 5.30pm during the School Holidays and Teacher Training days
Holiday Club runs throughout the school holidays and on teacher training days, with the exception of the two week Christmas/New Year holiday (limited sessions only) and bank holidays.
Children aged 3 to 11 years old from Meadowside and Buttercup Nursery are welcome to attend; we also welcome children over the age of 5 from schools in the surrounding area. Please complete and return a printed copy of the MASC Registration Form along with a signed copy of the MASC Terms and Conditions on this page to the school office to register.
Morning (8am to 12.30pm) and Afternoon (1pm to 5.30pm) sessions are also available.
Full Day sessions cost £25.50, Morning/Afternoon sessions cost £14.00.
Booking for all MASC sessions in advance is our preferred option however in emergencies only bookings can be made up to the day before but this will be dependant on numbers and staff ratios and is entirely at the discretion of the Manager.
Parents need to ensure appropriate clothing is provided to enable participation in outside and sporting activities.
Lateness and Absence
For wraparound care and holiday clubs, a late collection charge of £5 for every 5 minute period will be applied. If your child is absent we will be unable to provide a refund. If you need to cancel a session, seven days notice will be required and your account will be credited accordingly. Childcare vouchers can be used for bookings. All payments must be made in advance. No payment = no booking and your child cannot be left at the provision.
