Resident Artist at Meadowside Primary

Resident Artist at Meadowside Primary

We are very lucky to have the artist, Colin Slater, working in school recently. Last year he created Meadowside’s own version of the Sistine Chapel. The pupils and staff are all very excited about this project and really enjoyed the school assembly by Colin explaining the content of his mural.

The art work illustrates a passage through time incorporating our theme of meadows and landscapes. The mural also includes a focus on local artists from Kettering, Alfred East, Thomas Cooper Gotch, Walter Bonner Gash.

Thanks to Colin, we have a library to be proud of with his amazing paintings of lovable an memorable story characters. Look out for the War Horse, Stick man, Iron Man and of course the Owl Babies.
